The founder, Luke, approached me after seeing another website I had designed. His business had evolved significantly; his projects were transitioning from basic, one-off furniture installations in standard houses to highly refined, premium carpentry for high-paying clients who demanded entirely bespoke solutions. He engaged me to completely overhaul his visual identity and build a high-end web presence that matched the caliber of his craftsmanship and the luxury homes he was working in.

The Challenge

The business was actively held back by its branding and digital setup. Operating as "Burton Bespoke Furniture" pigeonholed Luke's services, failing to show that he now managed large-scale architectural joinery. His original website was a DIY Wix setup that looked amateurish and failed to represent his high-end work.

A comprehensive audit revealed major user experience flaws: vital contact forms were broken, the Instagram feed failed to display properly, and there were no clear calls to action to guide potential clients. Behind the scenes, the infrastructure also lacked essential email authentication records.

The Solution

We began by dropping "Furniture" from the core identity to open up the brand. For the new logo, we developed a simple, understated identity rooted in traditional British, old-world typography. This minimalist, "less is more" aesthetic perfectly mirrors Luke’s down-to-earth approach and his commitment to authentic, traditional craftsmanship.

We then rolled this identity out across business cards and vehicle graphics, and restructured the website layout to prioritize a high-end user experience. Built on WordPress for future scalability, I resolved his technical email authentication issues alongside his independent provider. Upon launching the new website under his updated domain name, burtonbespoke.com, I smoothly handled the switch over by installing an SSL security certificate and configuring the necessary domain routing.

To bridge the gap between digital screen and physical luxury, the site opens with a full-viewport hero banner featuring a cinematic storytelling video. Visible the moment a user lands, it instantly communicates Luke's values, showing his journey from sourcing wood in the forest, to the grit of the workshop, and finally, the pristine installation. This immersive introduction is backed by clean typography, intuitive user pathways, and large-scale layouts designed to showcase his professional project photography.

The Results

The project delivered a complete business elevation, shifting Burton Bespoke away from a DIY aesthetic into a premium, authoritative brand space. By defining his core services and backing them with atmospheric storytelling video and large-scale photography, the website now commands the attention of high-net-worth clients. Mechanically, the migration to WordPress and transition to burtonbespoke.com eliminated his technical headaches, replacing a restrictive platform with a secure, scalable, and beautifully optimised digital home built to grow alongside the studio.
