Shutter Suffolk

The Client

Shutter Suffolk is an established, independent company that supplies and installs premium plantation shutters in domestic properties across East Anglia. Founded by Oliver, the business has experienced a period of considerable growth, earning a reputation for quality craftsmanship and exceptional local service.

Having outgrown their original branding after years of expansion, Oliver approached me to inject new life into the business. As a long-term client, I had built Shutter Suffolk’s original website over five years prior. This new phase of the partnership required a complete visual identity refresh alongside a modern web rebuild to better support their growing operation and elevate their market presence.

The Challenge

While Shutter Suffolk was highly successful on the ground, their digital and physical branding no longer reflected the scale or quality of their business. The original website was over five years old, running on outdated legacy software that compromised security, performance, and backend functionality. Furthermore, the site lacked a seamless way to showcase their extensive portfolio of recent installations, missing vital opportunities to engage users and rank effectively for local search terms.

The Solution

We began by developing a fresh logo and a cohesive visual identity system designed to look sharp both online and in the real world. This streamlined identity was systematically rolled out across all business touchpoints, including premium business cards, invoice headers, complimentary slips, vehicle signage, and social media graphics.

For the digital overhaul, I performed a clean, ground-up reinstall of WordPress to bring all underlying software, core frameworks, and page builders fully up to date—drastically improving site security and loading speeds. To enhance the user experience, I restructured the navigation and introduced clear, intentional calls to action to drive customer inquiries. Finally, I integrated a dedicated project blog, allowing Oliver to easily showcase recent installations, keep the content dynamic, and naturally boost their organic search engine rankings.

The Results

The project delivered a unified, revitalised brand presence that bridges the gap between Shutter Suffolk’s exceptional physical service and their digital touchpoints. By replacing the outdated platform with a secure, high-performance website, the business now operates with a seamless user experience that converts visitors into leads across all devices. The addition of the project blog future-proofs their local marketing strategy, giving Oliver a scalable platform that matches the business’s growth and confidently drives customer engagement.
