Styled.

The Client

Founded by Natasha King, an SBID accredited designer, Styled is an interior design studio bridging the gap between creative artistry and commercial reality. Drawing on Natasha’s corporate hospitality background as a former Head of Guest Experience, the studio designs spaces rooted in spatial psychology—balancing timeless aesthetics with practical solutions for high-end residential homes and boutique hospitality venues.

Natasha approached me to overhaul her online presence. While she had an exceptional portfolio and strong written content, her existing website felt standard and marketing-led, failing to reflect the premium, thoughtful reality of her physical design work. She engaged me for a website design and visual identity strategy to elevate her positioning and attract higher-tier clients.

The Challenge

As a pioneer of purpose-driven design, Styled was already well-regarded, but the name "Styled Home Design" was actively boxing the studio in. Despite Natasha's extensive commercial hospitality background, the name implied she only handled residential properties. Furthermore, the site's transactional, sales-heavy tone got lost in a crowded market of competitors using generic industry phrasing. The user experience also lacked the immediate emotional, atmospheric impact required to showcase luxury interior design from the first click.

The Solution

We streamlined her existing logo down to a single, confident mark: styled. Introducing the full stop gives the logo an intentional, premium feel, while removing "Home Design" safely unboxed the brand. This allowed Natasha to seamlessly pitch for commercial hospitality contracts like cafés and boutique pubs without changing her legal business name or her domain (styledhomedesign.co.uk). To retain context where needed, we built a flexible sub-header system where descriptors like Home Design or Residential & Hospitality sit cleanly beneath the core logo.

Next, we shifted the website messaging away from promotional corporate text to focus on emotional, human outcomes. We established the core hook: "styled. Design that makes people feel at home."—a sentiment that resonates beautifully whether a user is looking to design a private living room or a local bistro. To translate the sensory feeling of walking into a beautifully designed room, we built a full-viewport hero section on the homepage featuring a subtle, soft-fading background video loop of her best interior projects to capture high-end quality within seconds of landing.

The Results

We delivered a refreshed visual identity and a stunning new website with a premium feel that reflects the technical excellence of Natasha’s work, fostering a deeper connection between visitors and the studio's design philosophy. By replacing the generic sales pitch with refined typography, spatial psychology, and atmospheric layouts, the site positions Styled as a true authority in its field. For the client, this streamlined identity and build offer ultimate business flexibility—giving them a polished, device-responsive platform tailored to scale effortlessly into commercial sectors while continually attracting high-value residential clients.
